CERTIFIED DRUG FREE/ LOW RISK SECURITY OFFICERS:
Our Drug Free/ Low Risk programs begin as the first step of the application process and continue throughout the employment of all uniformed assets at all levels of employment. It is so important to test the "raw materials" of any product prior to investing company assets on its development as a product. This policy has never been proven more correct than when applying it to a labor intensive service industry such as security.
All of our applicants face an uphill climb to become a member of the Bayer Protective Services Team. Prior to receiving an application for employment, they must commit in writing the willingness to work in a Drug Free environment. Once an applicant, they are verified as Drug Free through an in-office oral panel drug screening. Applicants clearing this hurtle are given an in-office behavior analysis screening. We utilize The Hiring Suite program to detect potential problem behaviors relating to theft, violence, controlled substance or alcohol abuse as well as honesty. We couple this with an aggressive anti-drug policy in which all uniformed employees participate in an ongoing random series of drug screening. This policy allows us to provide certified drug free/ low risk Security Officers and Supervisors.

As a part of our service, Bayer Protective Services, Inc. invites our clientele to become a participant in this selection process. Utilizing our Customer Defined Security Officer Wage spreadsheet you will be shown a to the penny the breakdown of all costs associated with our service. You will be invited to choose a wage for security officers assigned to your location.
MEDICAL AND DENTAL BENEFITS:
Some Clients choose to have a Medical benefits program as part of their Security Officer Wage Package. Partnering with Blue Cross of California and Kaiser, we offer a wide spectrum of programs and coverage. All security officers are offered the opportunity to purchase this comprehensive health coverage. Security Officers who are assigned properties selecting to participate in the Medical and Dental Benefits are underwritten in the amount invested by the client.
Properly Managed Wage Related Costs:
UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
State Unemployment Insurance is a manageable cost. It takes a comprehensive effort based upon a planned People Development program. This factor can add as much as four percent to the cost of wages for your security team. We have tailored our hiring process to help control this factor. From the time an applicant begins the process; our People Development program steers and monitors the applicants progress through the employment process. This ongoing program documents training and performance. Our program consists of a Five Step Supervision program of supervising the officer in the field. This method is delivered in a manner consistent with Kenneth Blanchards One Minute Manager. It calls for the recognition of positive and negative behavior with concentration on the positive. When positive consequence is appropriate the officer receives points towards an award recognition or monetary compensation. When a negative consequence is appropriate our Four-Step Disciplinary Program is enacted to guide the employee back to a more comfortable acceptable behavior. Occasionally, despite our best efforts, it becomes necessary to terminate an employment relationship. Our intensive program of documenting officer training, performance, recognition and discipline has consistently provided us the upper hand in returning a favorable ruling from the State of California.
WORKMENS COMPENSATION EXPERIENCE MODIFICATION RATE
We have been working with the State Compensation Insurance Fund since our companys inception. Their method of aggressively tracking and debunking fraudulent claims while treating a legitimately injured employee with compassion is effective. It has returned dividends in the form of fewer injured work days off and thus lower costs of Workers Compensation.
While all industry has seen an outrageous increase in the cost of this insurance, our losses have been so low that we now enjoy a 59% modification factoring.
LIABILITY INSURANCE LOSS RATIO FACTOR
Our broker for liability insurance is Szerlip & Company Incorporated located in Milburn, New Jersey. The Szerlip organization specializes in general liability for the security industry. Our policy is carried through Mechanics Bank Insurance Company an A+ rated AM best carrier. Our current policy limit is $1,000,000.00 per incident, $3,000,000.00 aggregate with a $2,000.000 umbrella.
