| Properly Managed Security Officers:
INITIAL PRE-SITE TRAINING
Prior to assigning a security officer to a permanent position at your property, the security officer will be pre-trained. Usually this pre-site training will take place in our office, utilizing the new state guidelines for security officers as well as reviewing the Post Orders and Operating Procedures for your particular property. The history of the property will be discussed with the officer. This will include a review of all activities / events reported by other officers as well as the items you have selected as required knowledge.
ON-SITE TRAINING
When your security officer reports for their first shift at your property, he /she will be met by either the Site Manager or a member of our Management Team. The officer will be fully introduced to the Post Orders and Operating Procedures as well as all duties for which security is responsible. The training officer will show the officer location of all equipment and the entire area of responsibility. This training will last until the training officer feels the officer is able to take responsibility for the post. The security officer will also be met at the end of this shift to receive a positive evaluation of the activities during his / her first duty shift.
FOUR POINTS OF MANAGEMENT CONTACT FOR EACH SHIFT
Each duty shift requires a minimum of four points of contact between the Manager in Charge, Field Supervision and the Security Officer assigned to your property.
Pre-Post A scheduled call by the assigned officer completed one hour before the beginning of a duty shift. This allows us time to find a suitable replacement officer or have a field supervisor on site at the start of shift. This insures no unmanned hours.
On-Duty "10-8" Officer Clocks into GPS Tracked TeleNav on his Nextel phone and calls our dispatch center that he is on duty. He receives any special instructions or orders of the day.
During Shift Status Check Our Dispatcher contacts each officer a minimum of one time during the shift to get updates and complete a status check.
Off-Duty "10-7" Officers clock-out of TeleNav and call the dispatch center to report off-duty. This is a final chance for a summarization of observations and activities.
TWENTY-FOUR FIELD SUPERVISION AND MANAGEMENT
Just a Nextel call away from your Security Officer is our Field Supervision and Management Team. Our Management Team is Blackberry tm equipped with all information regarding your property in order to support our field officers. We maintain a complete file on the activities and responsibilities of the security officer manning your account, as well as a complete history of the reported activities / events at your account for continuity of information.
POSITIVE VERIFICATION GUARD TOUR / PATROL MANAGEMENT TELENAVIGATION
Bayer Protective Services, Inc. utilizes the TeleNavigation Global Positioning System through our Nextel phones. The officer clocks into the phone and our dispatch center can verify the location of the officer in real time, all the time!
ON-GOING ANALYSIS / TRACKING OF SECURITY OFFICER / SUPERVISOR PERFORMANCE
Tracking the performance of our people is paramount in measuring their success. We routinely review all security officer generated reporting: Daily Activity Report, TeleNavigation Report and End of Shift Reports to establish the consistency and reliability of information required for an effective security program.
The recognition of an employees behavior is crucial to our programs. But it is also crucial to the development of the employee as an asset to our company and clientele. Being able to evaluate these behaviors with an employee is a big step in overcoming unacceptable behaviors and rightfully giving the employee the sense of achievement that accompanies a job well done. We have all seen companies where only the negative behaviors are given attention. Here people are recognized with a positive consequence for positive work.
